Inspiration For Final Project

These photographs are some old pictures of my mum and her family at Butlins. What I really like about them is the saturated colours that make them look vintage and old. These photographs have been scanned from slides then printed then scanned again, so are not the original quality. The colours inspire me, I love how old film photographs look, and how they feel like an artifact, something precious to hold onto. I’ve always had this obsession with looking at old photographs and postcards, I really like the aesthetics they have, and I am hoping to recreate this in my work.
